It is May, it is May, the lovely month of May...
As the flowers start to bloom, and the trees grow new leaves, let's stop and enjoy God's creation, the beauty, the sound, the smells and colors. There is so much to praise Him for in these alone. As we pause to enjoy it all, may I encourage you to pause and take some quality time with the Lord.
Not because of obligation or duty or something to check off the list.
But because of our heart's response to the abundance of His love, His goodness, and His holiness.
Consider the words of the psalmist “As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God? Psalm 42:1
For me, it is out of desperation because I know that I desperately need Him every moment. I am who I am because He is Everything. And it is from that position I seek to draw near to my Heavenly Father. My love for Him could not come close to His for me. I live and breathe and have life not just to serve Him, but to KNOW Him.
Beloved Sisters in Christ, how is it for you? My day gets so busy with many things and sometimes I find myself missing that “one on one” time with Him, although He is always near. Our walk with the Lord is a relationship with Him as He abides in us and us in Him. He has given us of His Spirit 1 John 4:13. As we go about our day, let's take some time with the One and only God, whom we serve. It is such a joy to draw near to Him.
"For the joy set before Him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart". Hebrews 12:2-3
May the turn of the season greet you well.
May your gardens bloom.
May you grow in your walk of faith.
May your family grow in unity.
May you live in the joy of your salvation.
